Ingredients of Schezwan Chili Chicken
- 2 chopped into cubes chicken breasts
- 80 gm flour
- 1 medium sliced capsicum (green pepper)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- salt as required
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 medium de seeded green chilli
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 medium chopped into cubes onion
- 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce
- 2 tablespoon schezwan sauce
- black pepper as required
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Step 1 Coat the chicken piecesSprinkle salt and pepper on chicken pieces. Then coat them with flour and egg wash (egg beaten with water).
Step 2 Fry the chicken piecesIn a saucepan, heat oil and then add chicken pieces. Shallow fry them until they turn golden brown in color. Now, add onions, capsicum, and green chilies. Saute them with chicken pieces for 2-3 mins.
Step 3 Pour in the saucesNow, add red chili sauce, soy sauce, and schezwan sauce to the pan. Mix everything well. If needed, add 3-4 tbsp of water. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-6 mins on low flame. Switch off the gas flame.
